This Privacy Policy describes how the Random Sentence Generator ("RSG", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the website at randomsentencegenerator.org (the "Site") and all associated generator routes, tools and pages.

RSG is an independent, browser-based tool that generates grammatically correct English sentences locally using structured word banks and rule-based grammar logic. The tool does not use AI APIs or external language models. All sentence generation happens in your browser.

By using this Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

This policy is written in plain language so writers, teachers, developers and ESL learners can clearly understand what happens with their data.

We separate data into two clear categories: data we never collect, and data that may be collected automatically.

RSG uses your browser localStorage to power the collections, history and preferences features. Here is exactly what is stored and where:

Key facts about our localStorage use:

• Data never leaves your device under normal site operation
• We have no technical ability to read, access or delete your localStorage remotely
• No data is synced to any cloud service, account or server
• If you use multiple devices, data does not transfer between them
• Clearing your browser site data permanently removes saved collections, history and preferences

The export feature for TXT, CSV, JSON and Markdown creates a file download directly in your browser. We do not receive a copy of exported files.

RSG can create generator-setting links and shared-collection links. Both use URL query strings, so their contents become part of the link you copy.

What each link contains:

• Generator links encode settings such as type, style, tense, vocabulary, quantity and length, plus any custom words you added
• Collection links encode the collection name, emoji, sentence text, category and sentence type in a data parameter
• The URL payload is encoded for transport but is not encrypted; anyone with the link may read or decode it
• No server-side session or user ID is created
• Do not put names, contact details or other sensitive information in custom words, collection names or shared sentences

A generator-setting recipient restores your settings and generates fresh sentences. A collection-link recipient sees the exact collection content encoded into that link.

GA4 page locations exclude query strings. AdSense is removed from HTML responses whenever a query string is present and is never loaded on the shared-collection page. Cloudflare, browsers and anyone receiving the link may still process or retain the full requested URL, so treat shared links as data you are intentionally disclosing.

This Site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Measurement ID G-2WFQJ86DGG, to understand which pages are visited, how long visits last, what device types are used and visitors' approximate geographic regions. We use these aggregate usage statistics to improve the tool.

GA4 is configured with Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default until a choice is made. Before consent, GA4 may receive cookieless pings, but it does not write GA analytics cookies. Visitors in other regions receive the granted default and can change it at any time through Cookie Preferences in the footer.

How Google Analytics is configured on this Site:

• GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses
• We do not use Google Analytics User ID features
• We do not upload sentence content, custom word injections or collection data to Analytics
• Page locations exclude URL query strings and include only the origin and path
• Each page and client-side route change sends one manually controlled page view
• We do not use Analytics for remarketing based on generator content

You can reduce or opt out of analytics tracking by:

• Opening Cookie Preferences in the footer and turning off Analytics cookies
• Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on
• Using your browser private or incognito mode
• Using browser privacy controls, content blockers or privacy extensions

This Site uses Google AdSense Auto Ads with Publisher ID ca-pub-4306979469592115. Google AdSense may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and use other identifiers to measure and serve advertisements.

Google Consent Mode v2 controls the advertising consent signals shared with Google. For EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland visitors who have not granted advertising consent, AdSense is expected to serve only non-personalized ads and should not write advertising cookies. This custom banner is not a Google-certified CMP, so Google may continue to serve non-personalized ads in those regions even after a user accepts.

We do not use:

• Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
• TikTok Pixel
• Twitter or X tracking
• Hotjar, FullStory or session recording tools
• Affiliate tracking cookies
• Any AI API that receives your sentence inputs

RSG does not collect sentence content or require user accounts. Google products may process ad and analytics signals as described in sections 5 and 6, so most privacy choices are exercised through Cookie Preferences, your browser or Google privacy controls.

We take reasonable measures to protect the Site and its users:

• The Site is served over HTTPS so data in transit is encrypted
• No sentence content or personal data is stored on our servers as part of generation
• localStorage data is protected by your browser same-origin policy
• We do not require third-party login systems for generator use

Limitations:

• We cannot guarantee the security of data stored on your own device or browser
• If your device is compromised, locally stored collections and history may be accessible to others
• Private or incognito mode is recommended on shared or public devices

The Random Sentence Generator is a general-purpose educational and creative tool suitable for users of many ages, including students and classroom use.

Our position on children's privacy:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• The tool does not require account registration or personal information to use
• No child's name, contact information or personal data is required for generation
• Teachers using the tool in classroom settings should still review their local analytics and device policies
